Blood Microbiota and Cancer: Cell Wall-Deficient L-Forms of Bacteria and Fungi as Cancer-Promoting Environment

چکیده

In recent years, valuable experience and insights have been gained into L-forms (cell-wall-deficient variants) of bacteria fungi their disease-trigger potential in cases with chronic infections, autism spectrum disorders, autoimmune neurodegenerative diseases. Based on the concept “internal” blood microbiota, consisting its relevance to health disease, current study aims outline profile dysbiotic disorders three cancer patients (with endometrial cancer, breast acute myeloid leukemia), all a phase before chemotherapy. Venous samples from one control healthy person, were microbiologically studied. The used novel methodology microbiota assessment was based following phases: isolation L-forms, development propagation, cultivation conversion classical fungi, as well identification MALDI-TOF method. From isolated opportunistic (Enterococcus faecalis, Esherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae Pseudomonas oryzihabitans) such Rhodotorula mucilaginosa, Aspergillus fumigatus Mucorales. conclusion, common feature found for highly associated communities morphologically indistinguishable L-bodies, which through reversion broth, identified distinct bacterial fungal species. Unlike classic or causing sepsis bacteremia/fungemia, presence is hidden, it does not demonstrate clinical signs nor can be detected by conventional methods. It should noted, however, that shows unique individual characteristics concrete patient, correlates state organism tumor localization body, outlines promoting role processes malignization, genesis progression.

Cell-wall deficient L. monocytogenes L-forms feature abrogated pathogenicity

Stable L-forms are cell wall-deficient bacteria which are able to multiply and propagate indefinitely, despite the absence of a rigid peptidoglycan cell wall. We investigated whether L-forms of the intracellular pathogen L. monocytogenes possibly retain pathogenicity, and if they could trigger an innate immune response. While phagocytosis of L. monocytogenes L-forms by non-activated macrophages...

Intracellular Vesicles as Reproduction Elements in Cell Wall-Deficient L-Form Bacteria

Cell wall-deficient bacteria, or L-forms, represent an extreme example of bacterial plasticity. Stable L-forms can multiply and propagate indefinitely in the absence of a cell wall. Data presented here are consistent with the model that intracellular vesicles in Listeria monocytogenes L-form cells represent the actual viable reproductive elements. First, small intracellular vesicles are formed ...

Cell Wall-Deficient Bacteria: Basic Principles and Clinical Significance

Cell Wall-Deficient Bacteria: Basic Principles and Clinical Significance consists of 19 chapters (524 pages) and a series of appendices (53 pages). The authors of this book are well qualified, all having published original research in the area. Bacteria are covered with an exoskeleton, made up of a molecular syncytium composed of peptidoglycan. As the microbe grows, lytic enzymes break the cell...

Cytotoxic and Cell progression effects of Mentha pulegium L extract on selected cancer cell lines

Mentha pulegium L. is one of the Mentha (Labiatae) species that is grown in many different parts of the earth including northern Iran. The total ethanolic extract of the aerial parts of this plant is used in this work to investigate on the possible cytotoxicity on two different cell lines. Human lung carcinoma cells (A549) and human breast cancer (MCF7), have been used to show the clonogenic co...
